Where are you getting your comfy ballet flats?

I’m after some ballet flats to wear with cropped trousers and jeans. My office is smart casual and I would wear them at the weekend too. I want something with a pointed toe, strap and a variety of neutral colour options plus a leopard print. Happy to stretch the budget to get comfort but still be stylish for a woman in her mid-40s. Any options would be appreciated.

Excellent, I’ve seen a pair I liked. Good to hear they’re comfy

Are ballet flats back in again?

BigGra · 03/04/2026 17:48

Sezane have a great range. I have the Cassy ballerina in olive green and Livie babies in tan. Both very comfortable www.sezane.com/eu-en/collection/shoes/mary-janes-ballerinas-pumps

Just got some barrel leg jeans from M&S so hoping they’ll look good with some flats

Fitflop

Yes. They are so comfy. I got them when I had foot pain and I'll never go back to ordinary ones. They have proper supportive inner soles but you can't tell from the outside.

Ordered the leopard print ones with 15% off

I have a pair of FitFlop Mary Jane’s, comfortable straight out of the box but the padded back ankle section did give me a blister!

Definitely get the more expensive ones. I got an ingrown toenail from cheap pumps years ago 😫

Kathyparr · 07/04/2026 19:02

The fit flops have arrived. So far so good, they seem very comfy. They’ll get a trial run out tomorrow. Thank you for the recommendation.

does anybody have some Repetto ballet flats - they’re very elegant but i have bunion on one foot.
Off to Paris in 8 weeks!

twinsister · 08/04/2026 04:50

This totally seems like a thread planted by fitflop 😂

user593 · 08/04/2026 04:51

@LunaTheCat I used to wear them about a decade ago. They’re very nicely made but wouldn’t say they’re anything special in terms of comfort.

LifeBeginsToday · 08/04/2026 05:10

This doesn't meet the pointed toe requirement but my ballet flats are from Vivobarefoot and feel like not wearing shoes.

I can vouch that I am not sponsored by Fitflop but I am also in the market for any free shoes they want to send me Grin

MidnightMeltdown · 08/04/2026 12:29

I’m fussy about shoes and find most uncomfortable. Massimo Dutti do super soft leather, but often out of stock!

fruitfly3 · 08/04/2026 13:08

Great thread, following. Also want on trend flats with pointed toe (and fail to find any)
