Graduation ceremony footwear recommendations please!

I’m attending my son’s graduation ceremony this July. Think I’ll be wearing an ankle length flowy dress but have no idea what shoes to wear!

I know it’ll be a really long day, potentially warm or hot. Don’t do heels higher than 2 inches and have problem feet (hallux rigidus) so can’t wear anything pointy at the toe.

Some help would be great please!

I've been to two, one at Exeter and one at The Barbican, everyone was wearing casual sandals/ Birkenstocks. The youngster who were graduating were wearing 8 inch heels and night club attire 😂

Oh that would be a relief about the casual sandals if so!

At our sons graduation I wore wedge sandals as it was a gorgeous sunny day.

I will have to decide what I’m wearing to dds as she graduates in June.

Everyone was very casual, pretty dresses etc. Look on FB around the time of the graduation as they usually show videos of them. Really, anything goes apart from a football strip.
