I'm trying to build a mid-range quality /price capsule wardrobe after years of having a wardrobe full of clothes but nothing to wear!
About me: I’m in my 50s, a size 10-12, 5ft 7, and very much a pear shape. I work full-time (smart-casual) and have teenagers who are far too quick to tell me if I’ve "given up."
I also love a city break, so I need clothes that can handle 20,000 steps without making me look like I’m about to go on a hike.
I've realised that footwear is what makes an outfit frumpy/not frumpy (I know that's a controversial word here but you know what I mean...). I’ve bought 3 pairs of Supergas in the sale and I’m hoping they, along with my trusty boots, will cover all my bases.
What do we think? Am I on the right track for spring or is there a glaring footwear-shaped hole I’m missing? All advice (and not too much "brutal" Mumsnet honesty please!) welcome. Thank you 😊
