Any recommendations for shampoo and conditioner for extremely frizzy hair please (texture of candy floss but not pink). I'm sick of fighting it for over forty years 😫 I'm on a budget so can't afford ridiculous money. Thank you.

I think you need something with molecular repair. Elvive has one, even though i don’t like to recommend mitral because they test on animals.

I think there is more understanding about curly hair and frizzy hair. My hair is very reactive to weather , hard water versus soft sadly I don’t have wisdom re frizzy hair but I remember watching Trinny on a podcast reveal her hair after washing and it was surprising different texture. She had a lady on who started a curly hair towel microfibre type cloth apparently when hair is wet cuticles are open and so using the right towel can help not rough them up. Try find podcast on youtube
If u look at afro hair castor oil is used and other products to create depth of shine.
a silk pillow not a satin synthetic one helps prevent breakage etc also benefits skin.
I would try oils hair masks before shampooing I am going to google

Frizzy hair treatments focus on restoring moisture and sealing the hair cuticle to prevent moisture loss. Key treatments include using moisturizing shampoos, deep conditioning masks, anti-frizz serums
(like argan oil), and heat protectants. For long-term control, salon services include keratin treatments and Japanese straightening.

Top Treatments and Tips for Frizzy Hair
Hydration is Key: Use moisture-packed shampoos, conditioners, and hair masks, particularly those containing coconut or macadamia oil.
Leave-in Products: Apply leave-in conditioners or smoothing creams to lock in moisture and manage flyaways throughout the day.
Hair Oils: Use oils such as Argan oil to smooth the hair cuticles, add shine, and tame frizz.
Techniques & Tools:
Use a microfiber towel or cotton t-shirt to dry hair, which reduces friction.
Use a diffuser on your hair dryer to minimize movement and frizz.
Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction-induced frizz.
Professional Treatments: Consider a professional anti-frizz keratin treatment, which can last three to six months, for a longer-term solution.
DIY Remedies: Apply a hydrating mask made of mashed avocado and coconut oil, or use an apple cider vinegar rinse (1/3 cup with 1 quart of warm water) to balance pH.

I would start with using a cotton T shirt to dry your hair instead of a towel.
I would then do the natural hair mask suggested with advocado , coconut oil.
I would go to buy ingredients direct instead of included in a product as u will get more value for your budget

If u have a birthday coming have the treatment the keratin hair smoothing after doing your own research and finding somewhere recommended or good trusted reviews thats another transformative option my mother had this done u do have to use shampoos without suphates after this and most shampoos contain that just bear in mind to keep the treatment looking sleek u have aftercare

Thanks everyone for the replies. My birthday is at Christmas so a long time to wait. I'm actually house bound so would need to find something I can order online. I bought micro fibre towels four years ago and they made no difference at all, hair was just as frizzy as before!

Hi. I have frizzy curly hair and have found a routine that works well for me:

double shampoo (natural one, clarifying one)
Conditioner and ‘squish to condish’
wide tooth comb to detangle
oil (light) on wet hair
pull lush curl power through wet hair and squeeze upwards to curl (also removes water)
Do the same with gel
leave to dry naturally , sometimes in a micro fibre towel.
