I’m going on a long trip away for 16/17 days

  1. travel day to Europe -two flights- after a day at work. Overnight at airport
2 -3flight to USA two nights hotel (hot, tropical) 4-15 Caribbean cruise 15 overnight flight to Madrid 16 day and night in Madrid sightseeing and 17 fly home

What do I need? Flying business but want to pack light and don’t have extra bag on connecting flights. Will be shopping in the US on first two days.

I can take a large suit case 23kg a large backpack and a carry on case. I can wash and dry on the cruise for free. in need to take snorkelling gear.

For the carribean natural fibres. You will sweat for the fist few days until you get used to the humidity.

Do you have access to a washing machine?

I’ve just come back from the Caribbean. Cotton or linen is best. I like Aspiga and One Season Australia (vinted is great for this). I take 3 costumes and about 5 cover ups. Four dresses and two light culottes and tops for the evening.
For travel and in Europe - layers. I flew (business) in mint velvet wide leg black trousers (jersey), short sleeved t shirt and m and s cardigan. Leather trainers. Take a scarf - planes are cold! Take one more similar outfit - think capsule and that should do for Europe/travel. Take an umbrella, Uniqlo jacket (they do a short one that packs in a little bag and is shower and wind protective (great for cool evenings in Madrid). Sunhat (fold up cotton is easiest) and sunglasses. Backpack can double as a day bag/beach bag. Two pairs of sandals (I like Geox respira) neutral straw and leather cross body bag. Beach shoes are a good idea for the Caribbean as there can be sharp stones in and out of the water. I have Brighton beach shoes and a pair of gold Haiana flip flops. Obviously lots of sunscreen and tropical strength mosquito repellant.
Have a good trip!

Meant to add Dock and Bay xl beach towel is great. I fit all the above in one soft wheelable large Kipling case and a 20l backpack. I also take snorkelling equipment and about 5 books!
