Help me find a dress for a wedding

I’m going to a wedding in Ireland at the end of April. I haven’t been to a wedding for at least 15 years and my daughter tells me all the dresses I own are outdated! But I’ve been round the shops this morning and can’t find anything that looks even vaguely wedding appropriate. Hence I need help!
The only dress code we’ve been given is ‘cocktail’. I’m nearly 50, size 10-12, have short legs and big hips (so look a bit swamped by maxi-dress styles). Is there anything out there?

What colours do you like? Do you want sleeves? How much do you want to spend?

Thanks! I like autumnal colours but since it’s spring don’t mind branching out to pastels. Don’t need sleeves particularly although am aware it may be cold! Would spend up to about £150 I think

It was very warm here at the end of April last year but it’s impossible to forecast!
