Vinted parcel marked collected but not handed over at DPD pickup point

I bought an item on Vinted and used the suggested delivery method of DPD delivery to pick up shop. I got a notification this morning that it was ready for collection but when I went to the post office, the server wouldn't give it to me as she said the message on the screen said not to hand it over. I asked if it gave a reason but she said no and to contact DPD.
I came home and the Vinted notification came through saying that it had been collected. The DPD tracking also says that its been collected but I haven't got it. The customer service line isn't open until Monday and the chat is saying that the sender has to contact them. But surely they will just be told that it was collected?
Has anyone had a similar experience?

That sucks, sounds like you will just have to go through the proper channels (unless the postie is willing to hold the parcel til its sorted?).
Ive had similar when the parcel was scanned incorrectly. Luckily it was at the local corner shop who know me so were happy to just give me the parcel!

I’m hoping I can convince them too. As the dpd app is saying it’s been collected, hopefully they’ll hand it over. They know I’m ‘me’ so fingers crossed!

DPd can be a bit weird and parcels get marked Collected but then brought round the next day. Perhaps that will happen.
