How to style/wear these shoes?

How to style / what can I wear with these?

I bought them on Vinted a year ago. I love them. They are so comfortable too.

However, I have never worn them as whatever I put them with, they don’t look right.

Sometimes it is the colour clashes (I wear a lot of blue, and some differing blues don’t go well together) but other times it is trouser length etc.

As they have black soles, they don’t look right for a summer shoe so haven’t worn them with skirts.

Any ideas? Or should I put them back on Vinted?

I have a pair like this but burgundy. About 15 years old and I wore the yesterday! I wore with checked man pant type trouser ( me and em off Vinted) - so wide legged and with trouser falling just above the heel by abiut 1-2 cm. The burgundy is also in the check so went well. I think blue very tricky with this colour. Tonal greys, burgundy I would say. I have also worn with dresses but dress needs to be quite prim to pull it off. I have a couple of cos wool dresses , mini and knee length with a stand up collar.

If you've tried them with all your clothes and nothing works, maybe they're not right for your wardrobe.

This is what I was thinking. I was just wondering if I was missing something. I’ll try a couple more times to make sure and maybe then I’ll pass them on.

I would wear them with a black dress and tights in the A/W and make them the main detail of my outfit with a chunky knit but I am not trendy yet I lurk here until I get thrown out I'd lean into the dark and bookish vibe but that's my default

With black tights and skirt/dress?
