Dd(15) has her prom in June. She doesn’t wear dresses, and has decided she wants a trouser suit. Any suggestions of where to find something appropriate? I was hoping Disturbia might have something, as she’s already got a lovely suit from there (but wants a new one for the prom 🙄), but there’s not much on there at the moment.
A lot of women’s tux type suits seem to be velvet, but that will be too hot in June. She doesn’t want anything too fitted, no bright colours, not navy because her school uniform is navy, and doesn’t like ‘flappy’ trousers - so no wide leg styles.
Ideally she’d like something a bit more interesting than bog standard plain black with satin lapels that the boys will all be wearing. She likes ties and waistcoats.
There are some suits on Etsy that look ok, but it’s hard to tell if they are decent quality.
Any suggestions gratefully received as googling ‘women’s prom tux’ isn’t coming up with much!
