shapewear for under shirt dress - top half

Got to present on stage for a work conference. It will be streamed live on Teams too. About 100 people (I know most of them) in the audience. I can't hide behind a lectern. I've bought a button through shirt dress (green, white and black) and I heels that I am happy with but the front buttons are a bit gappy. The rest of the dress is actually quite forgiving. Issue is I am a size 12, 5ft 5inches and a very small bust 34A (hence I can't believe the buttons are gaping) so I have never had an issue with my clothes straining on my top half before. I really don't have time to go find another dress. And actually its quite nice. Its quite lightweight and the room will be warm

I am thinking about ordering some shapewear. But I don't know what to buy?
Pin my name tag over the gappy buttons?
Sew the buttons shut?

Shapewear seems very confusing
Any help

sew buttons shut. That's what I always do with button dresses that don't actually need to be unbuttoned.

Just wear a uniqlo heat tech (or the cool version) tshirt under it.

I nearly always sew it up between the buttons on dresses like this (obviously leave the top one or two buttons so you can get it on and off.

Sometimes I just use a tiny safety pin or two between the buttons if it’s only a bit of gaping.

I would just put a few stitches in between the buttons so they don’t gape (as long as you can still get the dress on and off somehow!). You could also use safety pins, on the inside obviously. I’ve done that many a time.

Thanks all I'll sew them up and pull it over my head somehow
