What are your small daily essentials to keep in your bag?

I have a small pouch I keep in my bag but I feel it’s getting far too crammed. A lipstick, small scent, powder compact and brush, pills, nail file, and on and on. I need help refining things down, reducing bulk and weight and clutter.

What are your essentials and how can I convince myself to lose a heap of things I never use?!

I have:
small tin which contains drugs including, burn gel, paracetamol, calpol, plaster, blister plaster, contact lenses, antiseptic wipe etc this tin is duplicated in all hadbags
an EpiPen bag which moves from handbag to handbag
a brush with a mirror that in a small zip back
lipstick and mirror
paper and pen
tissues
phone
back up battery pack and charger
purse

Inhaler, hair bobble, hand cream, hand sanitizer, small perfume and diary with pen. I can generally pull out a handbag and it has most of that already in it.
edited to add AirPods and chewing gum if pre teen hasn’t taken them.

My pouch contains:

• a little box of hair elastics and clips
• hand sanitiser
• antiseptic wipes
• ibuprofen/paracetemol
• compact powder and puff
• Clinique almost lipstick
• hand cream
• little tub of moisturiser
• facial SPF
• wet ones (antibacterial wipes)
• gum/mints
• automiser of my daily perfume
• a pair of tweezers
• a mini hairbrush
• period pads
• plaster (regular and blister)

the rest of my bag consists of:

• diary & pen
• bingo marker
• kindle
• purse
• water bottle
• ear pods

I think that’s it 🤣

A tinted lip balm that doubles as a cheek tint, a small SPF for touch-ups, a mini fragrance, a couple of hair pins (& safety pins just in case), tissue & pills. My bag essentials honestly depend on where I'm going and what I need to do, but for a regular day out this is all I carry now.

Phone, a clean tissue, keys. In pocket, no bag needed.
