As the title says:

I used to use Dove stick but they seem to have changed the formula and it makes me itch.
TIA

Have you tried one of the crystal deodorants . I have lots of allergies but find that the crystal ones work and they have no active ingredients. They also last a very long time and so are economical

@Tecklefancier
Thank you. I will look out for these.

Try aluminium free deodorant. Nivea Fresh Natural is my favourite

Don't use mitchum!

I think the new natural deoderants - Fussy in particular - are brilliant.

Thank you. When I googled what @Tecklefancier suggested, I got a whole list of natural deodorants and I thought why haven’t I tried these. I guess I had just been using the same thing for years because it worked or it did until they changed the formula.
Yes I know about Mitchum but I don’t think I need anything that strong as I very rarely sweat under my arms.

Fussy is very good.

Sanex zero% sensitive stick , i also use the shower gel

NannyR · 17/03/2026 18:07

Crystal deodorant sticks are brilliant - they don't stop you sweating though, if that is an issue for you. They keep me odour free all day.

Came to say the same thing. Also not an expensive brand

Another vote for fussy. Love the smells it’s gentle on skin and lasts well. Never had an issue and even my teenagers have no issues.

BansheeOfTheSouth · 17/03/2026 18:23

Another Sanex vote. Derma care or Ph Balanced, although even the pink one doesn't irritate. Avoid Nivea and Soft and Gentle like poison ivy.

Fluffyhoglets · 17/03/2026 18:26

Mum unperfumed. Or Sanex sensitive.

ExquisiteSocialSkills · 17/03/2026 18:27

AKT.

I've used the crystal ones, they were gentle but they didn't really work IME. I use Trust which was recommended on here, I think you have to order direct from them but it works really well and lasts 3-5 days so you don't have to keep applying it. It's aluminium free too.

1vandal2 · 17/03/2026 19:12

Wild deodorant. Comes in all sorts of scents and pretty reusable cases. Can be bought in boots and sainsburys and direct from their website.
All the main name brand give me rashes and don't do the job.

Changename12 · 17/03/2026 23:19

Thank you very much for replying. I really do appreciate it. I have ordered some and might get round to trying them all over time.

I can only use Mum unscented (grey lid)

FateAmenableToChange · 18/03/2026 07:11

I Malin+Goetz eucalyptus scented, it’s the only one I’ve tried that works but doesn’t give me a rash.

Elektra1 · 18/03/2026 07:29

AKT is amazing (online only). The scents are lovely but if your sensitive skin doesn’t tolerate fragrance, they do an unscented one too. It lasts for ages. I’ve been using the same tube for about 3 months

Hi there. I'd suggest ingredients rather than products so you have more flexibility in finding what actually suits your skin best. Look for something completely fragrance-free including no essential oils, free of alcohol, and with gentle moisturizing agents like shea butter or glycerin in the base to offset any dryness. For the active deodorant ingredient, magnesium hydroxide is worth looking for as it's one of the gentler odor-neutralizing options.
