Which dress do you prefer?

I'm going to a wedding in August and I've already bought this dress but then I saw this and I've just ordered it online.

Which one looks most suitable for a summer wedding? All day and evening at a fairly big but not especially posh wedding. Catholic church for ceremony.

I like them both, so I guess it depends on your colouring and shape.

DANCESwithLordPottingtonSmythe · 17/06/2008 20:55

I personaly think the first one is a bit low cut for a wedding unless you have no norks but that's just me. Love the colours of the second one.

georgiemama · 17/06/2008 20:55

The second one, definitely.

personally (looks round for Squonk who flamed me earlier for mis-spelling)

suwoo · 17/06/2008 20:56

I like them both too, but think no 1 could look at bit informal? I love no2 for the event you describe.

traceybath · 17/06/2008 20:56

to be contrary i prefer the first one

aefondkiss · 17/06/2008 20:57

I like the first one best.

squeaver · 17/06/2008 20:57

Second one will give you more stand-out colour-wise I think.

traceybath · 17/06/2008 20:57

perhaps with a wrap/shawl for coverage in church

second one

LaDiDaDi · 17/06/2008 21:11

Would be wearing a wrap/shrug thing with either one.

I'm size 8 and 5'5". Slightly pear shaped, very scrawny looking shoulders/arms. I will have to have the halter neck one the first one shortened as at the moment it is too low and baggy on me.

NoLongerMyFirstPost · 17/06/2008 21:13

The second one, without a doubt.

janeite · 17/06/2008 21:15

Second; I don't like the first at all.

WelliesAndPyjamas · 17/06/2008 21:15

1st dress

LaDiDaDi · 17/06/2008 21:16

No consensus then !

Love the first one, gorgous colour & cut. Like you say, a pretty wrap/shrug for the ceremony and bob's your uncle...pretty & demure for church, foxy & elegant for the reception!

Have you found a shrug/shoes? Gold or silver would be lovely, methinks.

bluenosesaint · 17/06/2008 21:18

I like the second one. Beautiful colours!

laughalot · 17/06/2008 21:20

2nd one

Collision · 17/06/2008 21:22

I do not like the second one at all.

The first one is gorgeous.

PortAndLemon · 17/06/2008 21:22

The first one.

melpomene · 17/06/2008 21:27

first one

foofi · 17/06/2008 21:30

First one.

BabieWabbit · 17/06/2008 21:34

The first one
The second one looks a bit beach wear-ish
Both lovely though
