Help: wedding guest dress. Should I give up now?

Very few things ‘work’ on me because of my shape so feeling like I should give up now trying to find a nice wedding guest dress. I’m short - 5:2, rounded and 10 stone. Dress:

Must have upper arms covered
Short proportions mean V necks are best
Not too tight or loose but prefer it to be tailored in to define a waist that I don’t have
Wedding guest Dress code: colourful

Please help.

So you’re probably mainly a size 12, @Lippyblippy? (Sometimes a 10, or 14 depending on brand, shape, fabric and proportions?)
