my DP wants to get our 2 year olds hair cut, i dont - he has beautiful blonde, almost white curls (see pic)

I dont want to get it cut til he's a bit older for fear of losing the curls, i have blonde straight hair and DP has short black hair but if left to grow it gets thick and wavy.

so what do i do, leave it? trim it? or go the full whack and get a proper boys cut? (
actually some dozy woman on the bus said "shes very pretty!")

I'd cut it, but suspect I'm in the minority

belgo · 17/06/2008 18:23

Leave it! He's gorgeous.

Spidermama · 17/06/2008 18:24

How could anyone snip those gorgeous curls?

luckylady74 · 17/06/2008 18:25

Doesn't look long enough to cut really -I'd leave it for a bit.

sagacious · 17/06/2008 18:25

Awww cute
If you do anything just trim the sides perhaps to thicken it up?

But I know not of dealing with curls so I'm probably talking bolleux's.

tortoise · 17/06/2008 18:25

Leave it. He is really cute.

DarthVader · 17/06/2008 18:25

No reason to cut it, it's not very long and it is lovely

bundle · 17/06/2008 18:28

er,no

Kitsilano · 17/06/2008 18:28

No way should you cut it - gorgeous!

kayzisexpecting · 17/06/2008 18:30

Its gorgeous. My DS has similar hair but a light brown and I don't want to have to cut it.

Leave it.

Desiderata · 17/06/2008 18:41

Lol at this thinly veiled excuse to show off your gorgeous boy

Leave it be, for now.

JackJacksmummy · 17/06/2008 18:57

thanks girls, I'll be leaving it then (which i'm relieved about because i want to grow it and have it like the beckhams had their middle ones before they had it shaved - lol sad i know but it'll probably be cut before he starts school)

My middle one (3) had really blonde but straight hair and has it cut regularly but his is slowly getting darker now

Des - but he is rather gorgeous hehehe

Don't cut it, it's gorgeous. Hate it when I see little boys with really short hair, and his hair is too sweet to cut off. My ds1 had masses of ringlets and was always mistaken for a girl, but I didn't care! He's 9 now and loves his curls as they get him lots of attention!

MamaG · 17/06/2008 19:29

I knew I'd be the only one

GustWriter · 17/06/2008 19:29

its lovely hair. My rule of thumb is this
"if in doubt, don't" - and I use it for everything from hair cuts to buying clothes etc.

minniedot · 17/06/2008 21:23

Never, no, no, no!

mamalovesmojitos · 17/06/2008 21:44

Miyazaki · 18/06/2008 14:02
