Can you get knickers with proper (and lasting) elasticated leg holes any more?

They all, within one or two washes, start to creep up my bum. I have lost weight and have less bum to hold them...as it were, and I swear you used to be able to get knickers with nice firm elastic around the leg holes that properly hold them in place and don't sag after a couple of washes? I don't care so much about VPL, I am more interested in my arse not eating my pants.

Yes! Big pants at m and s. So comfy! No vpl all good.

Sloggi are really good. I ditched m and s for sloggi. Also Amazon have good knickers. The brand is innersy

And what the hell has happened to bras these days too?? I swear I used to get at least a years wear out of them. Now it seems to be 3 months tops before the elastic starts sagging. And these ones weren't cheap either.

Are these the old apple gatherers?

Monsterslam · 12/03/2026 22:35

Agree sloggi are great. Their control pants are great too. Slightly just bring in the mum tum but aren't any more uncomfortable than normal knickers.

I’m really happy with the Matalan big seamless knickers

theDudesmummy · 13/03/2026 09:23

Oh thanks so much! I will probably try all of them! I started wearing Stripe and Stare boxers, which do look great, but after a wash or two the elastic in the legs just didn't do anything. So I am grateful for alternative suggestions!

these are fab. I used to wear giant knickers but I much prefer these nowdays after losing a bit of weight.

Elastic but also clean lines and comfy. I think a MN'er recommended them

they wash well - like new after months of wear

theDudesmummy · 13/03/2026 17:56

Ooh, those look very reasonably priced and nice colours. Will certainly try those too, thanks!

great price - I've just ordered myself the bright set! I have the more pastel colour set already. cheers

largeprintagathachristie · 13/03/2026 19:21

Brand called Innersy that’s available on Amazon. It’s often recommended on here.

peppercornrent · 13/03/2026 22:22

Which Innersey do you wear? The ones with the deep waistband like wirarpa or the thinner elastic waist? (Assuming that it's the big waist high ones)

OhDear111 · 13/03/2026 23:42

Sloggi. They last.
