How do you curl your hair with straightners???

Just tried it but ended up looking like i haven't brushed my hair for weeks and thats not quite the look i was aiming for

I am soooo glad you have asked this - I want to do mine for a night out soon and have no idea - was going to go to the hairdressers because I am so crap with my hair!
