Ideas please! Help me style a bride who’d like to wear trousers…

I’m helping a friend getting married in September at an outdoors venue. She would like to wear a tunic with trousers and maybe a long jacket over the top. She is 5’8” size 20/22, aged mid fifties. I’ve had the attached mood board already approved as a starting point. She is happy to spend some money on this (£100’s not £1000’s)

I’ve got Grizas, Masai and Sahara in mind. Good quality linen or even better silk/linen mix type fabrics. Please can you give me your suggestions for other brands and/or styling ideas? You lot are so good at this!

Thanks.

I can’t manage a link so here’s a screenshot. I like your mood board but thought one of these longline coats would look great with trousers. It still has the boho feel but a bit more special occasion.

Is that the kind of colour she wants, or is it shapes?
Because I'd like to gently suggest that just because she's a bride doesn't mean she has to wear something plain and approaching cream, beige, white.
Congratulations to your friend! 🥰

There's an Irish designer called Mizz Rio who specialises in wedding outfits. She often does trousers and a different take on wedding clothes. Worth a look for inspiration (she's on Instagram)

She almost makes me want to get married 😆

For instance, I just idly Googled and the first Sahara example that came up was this.
Which would definitely be in the running if I was getting married and wanted something tunicy shaped and in a hundreds budget.
Edited to add - sorry I forgot the trousers emphasis. In my defence I didn't sleep last night! 😂 Point about colour still stands though.

Agree with @Itsnouse - Shibumi all the way for the type of outfit your friend describes.
The tailored look is generally more flattering than floaty.
Hope you all have a lovely day.

She’s like pinks as a suggestion. Probably lighter colours but definitely not white or cream unless it’s a back drop for a subtle print. I think the mood board is a little plain so welcome ideas for stepping it up but not too jazzy… still refined. Thanks

That is lovely, not sure how it would work with trousers but thanks.

Thanks. More bridal than I think she would want but can always throw it into the mix!
