Starting again - realistic number of wardrobe items?

I am starting again with my wardrobe, due to combination of having lost weight over the past year, and also having not bought any new clothes for several years, so the small rotation of clothes I am down to are several years old.
I’ve done research (some great threads here on MN!) and I’ve tried items on in shops. I am ready to buy. However I am unsure how many of different items I need to buy? I don’t want to overbuy at the start, I’d rather start small and add items over time, but at the same time I need enough clothes to wear day to day and nothing fits right now. Can you let me know how many of the following you would buy? These items will form the base of my wardrobe for the coming spring, summer, and autumn. I am a casual dresser at the moment.
jumpers - 4? adding 2 more in winter.
jeans and trousers - 4? Again adding a couple more in winter
sandals - 2
trainers - 2
flats - 2
boots - 2 (to be added in winter)
coats - 2
fleeces/sweatshirts - 4
t shirts - 10
longsleeve t shirts - 4
summer dresses - 2
shorts - 2
Shirts - 3

Watching with interest. I am trying to cull and rebuild my wardrobe after losing over 40% of my body weight last year.

I just can’t seem to rein in my Vinted habit. I definitely have at least five times too many things.

Your list looks aspirational to me.

You probably don't need 10 t-shirts but other than that it sounds about right. But you need to start thinking of outfits, rather than specific numbers of things, otherwise you'll still have nothing to wear. Also you don't need to buy it all at once, because you'll end up buying things for the sake of it. I hope you have fun building your capsule wardrobe!
