My forehead is feeling dry but the rest of my face is normal.
Fortunately I don't have many lines.
I prefer a light foundation but can't find one at the moment I like.
Don't know if I should use a serum, primer or something else.
My skincare is Elmis cleansing balm then wipe off with a warm flannel.
Moisturiser is cetaphil.
Please advise a skincare routine if I can get that sorted I'm sure makeup can will come later.

Hi, at 66 without many lines you must be doing something right! Well done. Dry spots can appear anywhere, could I be dehydration?
I like Zejaskincare intense face balm, it’s organic, anti viral, anti fungal, anti bacterial and extremely hydrating, I use it for hands, lips and any other dry spots too. Morning and night or whenever needed, you only need a tiny amount. I can’t say enough about it.. lots of friends using it now too.

Hi OP. You're already doing a lot right! Ingredients-wise, I'd suggest adding a hydrating serum with hyaluronic acid or glycerin right after cleansing while your skin is still damp. At your age, certain areas naturally produce less oil than they used to, so it's totally normal to need different amounts of moisture in different spots. A light hydrating primer with silicones will help your foundation glide on smoothly without clinging to any dry patches, and look for foundations with a satin or dewy finish rather than matte since those work better on mature skin and won't emphasize any texture. Hope this helps.

For dry forehead specifically the missing piece in your routine is likely a hydrating serum with hyaluronic acid or glycerin between your moisturizer and your skin, because cetaphil is a decent moisturizer but it works better as a sealer than a hydrator on its own, and once you've got that extra hydration layer underneath your foundation will sit much more smoothly and evenly without that patchy dry look that tends to show up on drier areas.
