Help me find a jacket/cardigan to go with this dress please

It is our silver wedding anniversary in a month and we are spending a weekend in a fancy hotel in London.

I have bought this dress to wear to lunch but think I might need a jacket or cardigan to wear with it.

I have pale grey shoe-boots to wear with it so was thinking perhaps a jacket in grey?

That's a very pretty dress! Very springy and flowy! If you are staying at the hotel and going down to lunch then you probably won't need a cardigan or jacket.

If you are wearing it out and about, then you could do a few different things. Choose a neutral background colour and find a structured boxy jacket, just remember to find sleeves that aren't too narrow to crush the lovely sleeves on the dress. Or you could go with a lacy or fluffy cardigan in a spring green colour.

Love that dress. I was also going to suggest something shorter on the body.

I usually prefer short, boxy jackets over dresses but I'm not sure about this one. As there's no defined waist and with the length of the dress,(if it were longer, yes cropped jacket would be fine) I don't see a cropped jacket looking right

That's a beautiful dress I think I would opt for a sort of light weight dress coat.

I think I’d go for an unlined semi relaxed fit duster coat in pale grey, longer than the dress

I agree. I usually prefer short, boxy jackets over dresses but the shape of this dress isn't right for that. I don't think the jacket has to be longer - it could be slightly shorter or same length , but definitely not waist length.
