Shoes with this dress?

I have a party to go to and I don’t want to buy a new dress so plan on wearing the one attached. I’ve only worn it casually with tights and boots but want to jazz it up a bit. I’m really not sure what shoes it wear though? I’m not big on heels, the most I wear is a small kitten heel but I want to look party ready! All suggestions welcome 🤗.

Do you have anything else as an alternative? I only suggest that because I really can’t see how this can be jazzed up.

It’s a really nice dress but I agree with pp - it is quite casual and I can see it working really well with trainers or flat boots.

I think wear it how you normally wear it with nice hair & makeup & style it out!

That’s a lovely colour dress @TheEveningReport and I think it could easily be dressed up.

If it were me, I’d wear it with silver metallic boots like the ones in the image attached and black polka dots from Calzedonia. I’d also open the zip and show off my cleavage and wear a bright pink lipstick with it. Accessorise with silver earrings and a bright coloured clutch. I know that look isn’t for everyone, but it sure is for me! Have fun at your party.

I meant to say black polka dot tights from Calzedonia.

Those boots are fantastic and a great styling choice, especially when paired with black polka dot tights. That’s a proper stylish outfit!

Ophir · 02/03/2026 20:23

I don’t think you can wear that to a party

Nothing much to add to that other than I agree that tights that draw attention to themselves are the way to go rather than bare legs.

Flat silver Mary Janes and your tights, other coloured tights, would give a swinging 60s look

Babyijustdontgetit · 02/03/2026 20:47

Those boots are great with a bright colored bag, lippie and big earrings!

TheEveningReport · 03/03/2026 06:50

Thank you! I’m not really a dresser upper and so although I may be the least flash person at the party, I’m ok with that!

Love the tights and boots idea, I had thought something sort of ziggy stardust 60s/70s might work - thank you!
