John Frieda Frizz Ease serum new formula :(

The original (the red one pictured) was one of only 2 beauty products I invariably bought again and again, totally relied on it to make my hair silky. Of the 3 new versions I bought "the rescuer" which on opening i realised had a totally different texture and smell to the previous formula, and has left my hair basically as if I hadnt used any serum. Has anyone tried any of the other new versions with more success?

Oh no! I love this and have used it for years. I’m just coming to the end of mine and need a replacement 😭 it’s the only thing that works on my hair!

Oh FFS, as if DW foundation changing wasn't bad enough now this!

Fair enough to them, I emailed them asking which of the new serums is closest to the previous formula and they replied saying:

"Our "The Hydro Sealer" Moisture Protect Serum is an updated version of the previous Original Serum but with a new fragrance, name and pack.

We're really sorry that you didn't love our Weightless Repair Serum - which is an entirely new formulation - but really do appreciate your valuable feedback in this regard"

And have offered to send me the hydro sealer serum! Will report back on how it works.

I tried the purple one on offer but it doesn't seem as moisturising as the old orange bottle one. Not oily enough.

You might not have one near you but the savers shop has the old versions - I bought the orange pack one a few weeks ago. Bargains shops often have old stock of these too.

i bought 2 of the new one and they are dreadful ! I’m going to email them too
