H&M forgotten to pick up 3 for 2?

Hi all, in a mad after school shopping session, I picked up 2 items at H&M. Just folding them away, ive realised they are labelled 3 for 2. DD has already worn one item, 2nd has tag. Could I go back and get the free one? I feel had she not worn the 1st, I could have returned and rebought! Im annoyed at myself!

Unfortunately I think you've missed it. That's so annoying! I hate it when that sort of thing happens. I still think about an incident in TK Maxx when I tried to buy a set of 3 cake tins and was charged individually for them and didn't notice at the time. That was 15 years ago and it still rankles...

I went to Costa yesterday while waiting for my car to be fixed. They had a deal on - toastie and a coffee for six quid something. I ordered a toastie and a tea, sat down, ate it, and about half an hour later noticed on the receipt that I’d been charged eight quid something. I didn’t go back and challenge it because really, the moment had gone, but an extra £2 just for a teabag instead of a latte was really irritating.

If you still have the receipt you could go back and ask if you can get a third item , I don't think it makes any difference that some items have / haven't been worn .

I'd pick the third item you want before going to custom services, then explain the issue so that you don't have to queue twice and I think are more likely to get what you want.

Go back in store and buy the first 2 items again in exactly the same sizes, along with the third free. Return the 2 items you have double of with the first receipt.

They won't honour just going in and getting the third.

@anon2022anon brilliant idea, though how does the coding work, would the system register it being a different item or do all items have the same identical code. Im being a dunce

All of the same items in the same size have the same code, it's fine. I've done it before when they've reduced something a week after buying it!
