Lunch bag or shove it all in a tote?!

This feels like a silly question but here we are...

Do you have a separate lunch bag to your normal bag for work, or do you put your lunch in your work bag? I am currently using my Longchamp bag and a small insulated lunch bag inside it! But the handles of the bag drive me nuts.

I go straight from work to pick up DS, so was looking for minimal things to bring from the car.

So I can't work out if I want a separate lunch bag / put it all in a canvas bag (and just wear a crossbody bag), or if I need a structured tote to shove it all in. What does everyone else do?

I have a big tote and shove it all in the same bag, laptop, lunch, phones, planner the lot

I'd like to know too as I have a laptop - work shoes - lunch to carry!

I’m also curious to know what most people do, appreciate this is an old post though!
i am considering whether to buy an insulated lunch bag as I think some food might go bad during commute, especially when it’s hot!? What does everyone do?

I ended up getting an insulated lunch bag, a rectangle one, and then buying a rucksack from accessorize which fits that and my water bottle in!!

I bought something along these lines and absolutely love it. Keeps the food away from my other stuff and also don’t need a second bag.

I used a back pack with 3 compartments. The 1st and smallest contained the handbag stuff, the next up contained lunch, snacks, flask. The 3rd had laptop, charger and other work stuff. I used a very large zip lock bag to live the lunch contents just in case.
