It's another MOB one - do I have to wear a dress?

I obviously want to look nice but I'm really not a dress sort of person. I look at the dresses suggested on other MOB threads and think some of them are lovely and some a bit strange but they just wouldn't be right for me. Could I get away with trousers or a trouser suit? It's a fairly relaxed late afternoon ceremony, not church.

Of course, you still need to look like yourself and be comfortable. I think traditional MOB outfits are over the top and stuffy. Wear wear you want so long as you have made an effort etc

I agree, wear a trouser suit - I think that Me & Em one is lovely.

I don't know why we have to suddenly transform into Hobbs, Court Shoes & Fascinator types just because our kids are getting married.

My mum wore a smart and tailored trouser suit to my wedding with heeled sandals and a cami style top

Sadly not, it was only topped by the previous years bright green suit where she looked like Oscar the Grouch.

@Mosman2020 you're scaring me 😂mob in October this year so watching this thread.
@CoastalGrey do you mind me asking what age group you are?

I’m early 50s and would never normally set foot in Hobbs, Phase Eight or the posh dress section of John Lewis. I want to look nice and appropriate but I don’t do dressing up very well.

look at jumpsuits from Nancy Mac (they have changed their name but Google it and you will find them). They are fabulous!
