Vinted- is there are reason why sellers list conflicting sizes??

I'm just wondering if anyone knows why it is that, despite an item being one size on the label shown in the pictures, so many sellers are putting a completely different size on the listing description, or putting the item in the wrong sizing category??

For example, if I search for a size 16 dress using the 16-18 size category filter, I get results where, if I click on an item that says it's 16-18, on the pictures it clearly shows it's in fact a size 12? Sometimes the 'size 12' is also in the description.

Why are so many of these items in the wrong category? Is ths a Vinted problem, or a seller problem?

I think it’s a glitch on Vinted. I’ve only recently noticed this

A while ago they changed eh size category. So if I searched in the past for a 14 or listed it as a 12-14, it changed and now appears in the 20-22 category! This is only items that have been on a while though, maybe 3 months + since the update.

These are probably listings made pre their sizing change, I had to go through all of mine and change the sizes. Also I dislike the new ranges, I'm a 18 I don't want to see 16s!

As others have said the sizing changed recently and it’s a mess.
I had a 14 dress for sale before the change and afterwards it listed as a 20-22

The listings used to be S/M/L etc with a 14 being XL whereas now a 12/14 is a M so no wonder people are confused.

I can’t understand why you can’t just list as dress size for women’s clothes. If you’re a 12 why do you want to see size 14?

It's because they reorganised all their listings and sizings - a 14 used to be XXL or whatever and it's now L - so people who listed a while ago and haven't updated the sizing have things showing in the wrong category. Makes searching very difficult.
