A truly clump free mascara

I am looking for the holy grail of mascaras. Is there such a thing as a truly clump free mascara? I have tried so many and even if they start out looking promising, after a week or so they all seem to go clumpy. I just want a mascara that goes on nice and smoothly, I get my lashes lifted so I am not bothered about height or volume or lift etc, just something to emphasise my lashes. Anyone found one? I don’t mind paying! (Desperate 😂)

agree - hate clumping.......... Hourglass - its tubing so doesn't smudge or shift until you wash it off. Absolutely marvellous & not once has it clumped....... lifts & separates!!!

they now do brown so I am proper delighted

I second this, the Hourglass tubing mascara is amazing. I think it’s called the Unlocked mascara. I’ve tried many other tubing mascaras but always go back to this.

sounds like you are like me and you need volumising.

I buy the cheap (£8?) fat yellow one from maybelline. Most successful for me and I've tried loads of more expensive ones. The trick that works is to keep a second brush (from a previous mascara) and use it to comb through after you apply. Then I apply second coat focussing on pressing it into the roots of lashes so you don't get clumpy ends. Second coat needs to go on quickly whilst first still wet. Then comb through again.

The additional 60 seconds makes a huge difference to how good they look

Thank you !

Another vote for maybelline sky high. Mascara technology has really changed in the last few years and this product reflects that. I use L’Oréal voluminous primer (not sky high primer altho there is one) then black sky high mascara and then finish off with one more…currently it’s Clinique high impact but often it’s the pink voluminous tube that comes as a packaged deal with the white voluminous primer. The sky high sets the tone tho…long lifted and clump free.

Dont use the previously recommended pink and green maybelline great lash that has been around for decades. It’s very clumpy

If all your mascaras are getting clumpy after a week are you pumping the wand in and out (and therefore forcing air in?) You should just gentling twirl the brush around and lift out, and simply slide back in when done.
