Loose tummy skin.... Yuk

I’m in my late 40s and I swear my tummy skin is ageing faster than the rest of me — I notice it daily It’s getting looser, slightly hangy, and generally behaving like it’s given up.

I go to the gym, lift weights, and I haven’t dramatically lost weight, so I feel a bit betrayed by my own body. Has anyone got any magic tips to firm it up, or do I just accept that this is my skin entering its “soft furnishings” era?

Do planks, yoga or pilates. Go running. They'll firm up.

I've not sone any yoga/pilates for a while... I will give it a go!

My belly has reached the soft furnishing stage but I'll try some planks.

I'm not one to blame my age or hormones, and while I am no spring chicken my round belly has probably a lot more to do with not moving about enough.

I have abs of steel and still have loose skin, though mine was through weight loss. It hangs in top of my very fit body and looks hideous. I am getting a lot better at just accepting it and wore a bikini this summer. Sorry but everyone always says to firm up loose skin you need to exercise but just my experience is that is not the case
