Best nail strengthening cream

Can anyone recommend one? I wore some glue on nails for a couple of weeks and they’ve wrecked my natural nails (and they were weak to begin with).

Someone recommended Nu Nale strengthening cream to me and said it was miraculous but it seems to be out of stock everywhere.

Nothing works for me apart from keeping nails very short and putting nail oil on twice a day. I've tried all the strengthening stuff but have had the best success just leaving them 'naked' and using oil.

Ah ok, I’ve tried various oils but not had any luck. The only thing that really works for me is sunshine but no chance of that. The glue has totally wrecked them now though.

I’ve had success with OPI Repair Mode. It’s expensive but has lasted very well.

OPI Nail Envy.

My nails were so ruined but regular use of Nail Envy sorted them out. It took a while but it really worked.

This is brilliant and available elsewhere (space NK etc ) not just their website: www.nailberry.co.uk/collections/nail-care/products/acai-nail-elixir

Hi OP. I was literally thinking Nu Nale when I read you had already had a recommendation. I think it’s amazing and the only thing that helped my nails when wrecked from Shellac. I never found a paint on/varnish type one to give any benefit. Nu Nale has been around forever, my Mum used it and told me about it. I used to get from Amazon or Boots online.

OPI Nail Envy for me too, was fantastic. Had weak nails from biting them a lot but regular use of nail envy, just one coat reapplied whenever I noticed it wasn't really there anymore made such a huge difference.

Eat chia seeds, they’re flipping amazing for your nails

Carmex lip balm in the round pot. Rub in a couple of times a day and last thing at night. Be careful not to touch you eyes.

I’m in the same boat as you OP. This Nail Repair from Boots is helping me. I’m keeping my nails short as they break so easily at the moment but this is allowing them to grow a little. https://www.boots.com/boots-nailrepair-10ml-10339501?traffic=paid.shopping&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19971248798&gbraid=0AAAAA-AdmwSyD51onrKHGhtEV2aDqGvId&gclid=CjwKCAiA-sXMBhAOEiwAGGw6LKsaN7AnazEP6hZ11uufWhj3vRaNI4ecV-TCH1UeRaNnn8145iViXBoCtkgQAvD_BwE

OPI Nail Envy here too, cuticle oil twice a day and hand cream whenever I wash my hands, I also take biotin and collagen. After a bad gel polish, this has saved my nails...took about 9 months though

OchonAgusOchonOh · 16/02/2026 20:56

Biotin supplements. Absolutely miraculous. I actually have to cut my nails now as they get too long.
