I've always worn dark shades in birks, so i've ordered a neutral colour for a change, think they'll look good with a bit of a sun tan.

Those are exactly the colour I was going to suggest. Far more useful.

I said hideous but that applies to all Birkenstocks imo. I also detest all Crocs.

I wear black suede Bostons but these scream “cowboy “ to me. If that’s what you’re going for, crack on!

I don't hate them OP (the black and gold pair) They are interesting and may work with an outfit. Adding them to my decide if I want list. My sister who has pretty out there style would wear these happily.

I like clogs, but not those. They look like something a country and western fan would wear when it’s too hot for cowboy boots.
