I’m 48, peri, and my skin has understandably at this age changed so much in the last few years.

There are so many threads on here, it’s a little overwhelming! Can anybody point me in the direction of some they may have found useful or put their routines here if have similar concerns?

prinary concerns: dry dull skin, setting in of wrinkles/ Jowls.

I’m very busy so don’t have time for millions of steps every day but excellent must have products or routines for similar skin type really appreciated! ❤️

Thank you!

La roche posay.
Can't recommend it enough.
My skin has gone mad this past year but is looking better finally after using this.
Cleanser, shower gel, shampoo and moisturiser with spf

Dry, sensitive, peri skin here too. I use:-

The Inky List hyaluronic acid x 2 daily
The Inky List Niacinamide x 1 daily
Twice a week - The Inky List retinol
Every day either Cerave for dry skin or QV cream (buy from Amazon).
Factor 50 sun cream (I buy a children’s sensitive one, not a special face one) - everyday.

All of these were recommended on here, all are on the cheaper side of skin care budgets. My skin can still get a bit flushed at times but it’s certainly not dry and I do get compliments on it so hopefully I’m doing something right!

Oh and a few times I month I slap a load of Vaseline on over my skin care at night.

I find some of the lists of stuff people use terrifying and confusing.

I like:
rosehip oil at night
Clinique moisture surge in the day
a face mask from Holland and Barrett once a week - I think the brand is Vitaskin
I also have Clinique Moisture Surge overnight mask so I sometimes use that instead of the rosehip oil

I have learned that I just can’t be bothered with anymore than that, but know I should probably incorporate a SPF into the above.

I love a face oil. I'm using a haru haru one at the moment but as a PP has recommended, simple rosehip oil is lovely. I'm also using a snail mucin serum from Beauty of Joseon which sounds really wanky but it really does seem to make my skin much softer, especially in winter when it can be dry and tight.

When my cheeks are really dry I use the solid Palmers cocoa butter. It's very greasy but a couple of nights of using it sorts out dry skin.
