What shoes to wear for night out ?

Its a pub night out. Im 52. I'll be wearing black skinny jeans. I usually wear ankle boots with block heal for casual winter. But lately I've been wearing light weight white canvas flats no socks. Jeans are ankle tapered. But these shoes look odd in winter as they are more summary and are looking a bit battered. Don't do kitten hills. What else could I wear that is not a boot or open toe ? Don't do Ugg.

They look like shoes my granny wore for comfort in her dotage but with thinner soles. She was 91.

Of you’re insistent on skinnies (and why?), can you wear them short with ankle boots so there’s a bit of leg showing?

Just wear the ankle boots, it’s January, full on winter.

You can get winter trainers. Brown is in this year and burgundy looks fab too.

My thoughts are that they are not good.
If you’re wearing skinny jeans I’d just keep on wearing the ankle boots.
Exposed ankles are not for me when it’s cold anyway.

Apparently They are way out of ‘fashion’ now. I haven’t worn them since pre covid myself and I rarely if ever see anyone wearing them but all that to say if you like them then keep wearing them, I dress for myself not anyone else. I just find looser styles more comfortable on me and I can wear thermals underneath 😂
