Where are you buying plain tops to wear under cardigans and jackets?

I’m looking for plain tops to layer with cardigans and light jackets. I like the feel of modal as it drapes nicely without clinging. V necked or crew/scoop.

Uniqlo mainly - they do good base layers I find

I am not sure about modal but Gudrun Sjoden usually have a range of basic tops in different colours.

M&S have some good base layers… they have thermal ones…

Tu (Sainsbury’s) partly because it’s a 5 minute walk away

Next sell useful sets of three, four or five long-sleeved cotton mix t-shirts.

H&M do some nice ribbed ones.

I should have said that these are cotton, not modal. They’re very thick and hang and wash well.

The nicest one I’ve got was from Asda for about £5. I’ve got several others from M&S, asos, Gap and H&M, but the Asda one is by far my favourite.
