Tan fisherman sandals or similar

I just impulse-booked a few nights in Nice in May and am now happily planning to get some Riviera-appropriate clothing. But I live in trainers and boots normally, which isn't going to fit the bill. What I'd really like is some sort of closed-cage toe sandals (I have really ugly feet) like a fisherman's sandal but not quite so chunky/orthopaedic. I'll probably want to do a fair bit of walking up to the castle area and maybe around Ezé so they would need to have a proper sole and not be cardboard ballet type things. I think brown or tan would go with more than would black. TIA!

Have you looked at the Salt Water 'Shark' sandals @ArwenUndomniel ?

I have them in the rose gold and the white. I was also looking for closed toe sandals but these were recommended to me so I thought I'd give them a try. Despite their very flat soles, they were amazingly comfy from day 1.

I've walked for miles in mine - many a city break, in and out of the sea on beach holidays, and just for general day to day walking the dogs at home. My first pair must be about 8 years old now and they still look as good as new.

FatFace? I’m useless at links 😳

Oliver Bonas tend to do this style and I find their shoes quite robust. No brown or tan in at the moment but they do have gold and ecru. You might find more options a bit nearer the time - it's a bit early in the season yet for sandal shopping!

@CarrieMoonbeams those might be an option - they're maybe a bit chunkier than I was thinking but practicality and comfort is important too, and it would be good to have them for general summer use.

@newrubylane true, I just got a bit overexcited! I'll check out some options nearer the time. I really want a pair of tailored palazzo pants and a big hat too but I will restrain myself for now...
