If you had £2000 for a bag what would you get?

I keep coming back to the YSL LouLou toy suede in brown, but I’m open to suggestions providing it’s a cross body or day bag that will go with everything ☺️

I’m with @ooscal and would get a cheap bag and a nice holiday. There’s no point in having a £2k bag when all my clothes to wear with such a bag come from M+S 😂

Not suede, I’d go for something preloved.

In reality I would go for a weekend somewhere like Florence or Istanbul and bring back a handbag!!!

I meant no harm in my comment. Sometimes others have the means to splash out 2k on a cross body bag, and good luck to them! It's just that I personally wouldn't, but would do exactly as I said in my post above with a bonus sum of 2k. I'd actually think of going somewhere that sells very decent practically undetectable replicas (that bit might be illegal, but I'd try!)😊

I have the Small Loulou, bought before the redesign (and the price hikes!). I’m not a big fan of the new shape and I also don’t find myself using mine much.

I love my Toteme T-Lock Clutch. It has a detachable shoulder strap, goes with everything, looks super smart and is easy to find things in. It’s also significantly cheaper (£820).

Loewe Flamenco. The leather is so soft and beautiful, it comes in different sizes. I believe the medium is £2200.

I would like a Chloe balloon bag. I just like the look of it.

No chance of a holiday, young kids with special needs make it much harder. I don’t even go anywhere to use a nice bag really, I just love them 😆

I still prefer the YSL over all the suggestions so far, I’m not averse to preloved though

Balenciaga city bag although the large size is a little more expensive than that. Wanted one for years but I don’t have 2k to drop on a handbag, alas! The Free People Emerson is a reasonable dupe so I’ll stick with that.

You will be able to find one pre loved should you want to and have change left over. If it's the bag you want go for it.

I have a ysl loulou in a medium size and I love it.

If I had a spare £2k I'd go for the Loewe puzzle bag or put it towards the celine 16.

I do like the YSL LouLou but when I was in Spain last year soooo many knock off copies being sold it put me off getting a genuine one as I think most people would look at it and assume it was 20 quid from a bloke walking across the beach!

Ralph Lauren do some lovely bags where the branding is less obvious. I like this one personally. I have a similar one from a few years ago but the buckle is round brass on mine.
