Best coverage for rosacea?

Help! It’s getting worse, I’ve tried 2 different treatments from the GP but nothing seems to work so I’m now on a mission to live with it and cover it for work and nights out.
Currently using Clinique foundation but by lunchtime the redness is showing through, anyone found anything that will last the day?

Phoera from Amazon, much better coverage than double wear or Clinique (I’ve tried everything!). I’ve suffered with my skin for years and am also now trying doxycline from a doctor.

I agree Dr Jart Cicaplair - Space NK are quite generous with samples.

I had terrible rosacea, I used the Altruist colour correcting foundation which is formulated for rosacea skin and also cut out caffeine from my diet and really reduced my alcohol consumption. It cleared up and my skin barrier has now repaired and I can use regular products on my skin again. Although I am cautious and tend to only use products for sensitive skin.

For those who managed to clear roseacea with soolantra, how long did it take?

I can’t really remember but I saw an improvement quite quickly and it had cleared up completely within 12 months. I have never had to use Soolantra again. I went from red, bumpy, itchy skin (which I’d had for over 10 years) to quite a remarkable clear, smooth skin.

I have no input on 'coverage' as I very, very rarely wear make-up... but the biggest difference to my rosacea (including a big port-wine-like mark on one cheek) was IPL laser treatment. It does require several treatments, but even after the first one, it was noticeably different.

Skin+me worked fastest for me for my rosacea - but breaking it down it’s metronidazole (sp?)+azelaic acid + niacinamide, then they take away the antibiotic after a few weeks and it’s just the last two.

The inkey list does an azelaic acid serum you could try if skin + me is too pricy. You could at least buy some serum to sit under your foundation while experimenting.

I had acne rosacea I got soolantra from Superdrug online it went after a week and never came back. I still ca have a little redness but nothing major I can live with it it looks pink on my skin rather than red. I used a green colour corrector which takes away the redness then I just use whatever foundation I like. Layering foundation to cover redness isn’t a good idea as it will look caked on so try and correct the colour a bit first then you can use less coverage.

I thought I’d come back and update. I bought Erborian Korean skin therapy CC red correct. I’ve found it brilliant for soothing and reducing/covering redness.
I took these photos this morning, the after photo is 5 minutes after application. I use it on its own if I’m just nipping out or under make up.
Thank you to those who recommended it 😊

The only thing that will take redness away is Mirvaso. You can get a prescription from the GP. It restricts the blood vessels.
