What to wear long haul

I haven't been on a long haul for absolutely ages and so I am not sure what to wear. People at airports seem to wear tracksuits but I loathe them! Also how do you arrive looking presentable? Thank you

I have a couple of Poetry dresses which are fairly lightweight and made from their high twist linen which doesn't crease. I layer them with thin woollen jumpers underneath (M&S crew neck merino are good) and then a mid weight jacket on top (denim or chore). Once I get to my destination, because I'm usually travelling from cold to hot, I take off the jumper and then I'm good to go. I wear soft loafers on my feet with, and then without, tights. I always take a pashmina for extra warmth on the plane.
I always have a hydrating mist spray in my hand luggage and mist my face often. Plus hand cream and a small moisturiser and a travel toothbrush and toothpaste. I make sure I have a muslin face cloth so I can give my face a wash before landing. I find having Living Proof dry shampoo is good to have in my luggage, somewhere easily accessible, so that I can do something to tidy up my hair on arrival.

I’ve got a couple of long haul flights coming up and I’ve bought some wide leg, elasticated waist joggers, which I’ll wear with a t shirt and a hoodie and socks with trainers,

I’ll have a change of clothes in my carry on, a warm wrap thing and moisturiser along with toothbrush and paste as well as other personal items like a kindle, iPad etc.
