Now here's a serious problem

I can't wear flip flops because I can't stand the feeling of that strap between my toes.

get flipflops without toe bits? or material toe bits so you don't feel it?

i never wear flip flops.

i have a pair of sandles from next which are nicer. and one pair of clarks as well. flip flop style but no toe posts.

I don't like flip flops either, especially when the front gets caught and you stumble.

I have the perfect thing for you! Apparently, there's some American version of flip-flops that just stick onto your feet with no straps/thong bit at all.

I'll go see if I can find them...

I used to feel like that, but I persevered and you really do get used to it, and they are really quite comfy now.

when i bought some new flip flops i was told to put a bit of vaseline between my toes and i didnt get blisters!

I can't do toeposts either. Or backless. If my shoes aren't strapped on, they don't stay on.

I always think it is v. funny when mags etc refer to them as "toe thongs."

I can't do the toe ones, but have a nice pair that don't have a thong...
