I used it on Wednesday and I'm still farking itching now!

I exfoliated, I moisturised and did everything right.

Now I am left with acne like legs that are the colour of Jodie Marsh's face.

I am not impressed.

It turned me Tango orange.

popsycal · 13/06/2008 20:19

it stinks
i like the loreal one

KatyMac · 13/06/2008 20:19

Me

It burnt my legs

PinkChick · 13/06/2008 20:19

it smells like rotten fruit, dove not much better dd says that smells like chicken!

Sparkletastic · 13/06/2008 20:20

Gawd I loathe it - it is supposed to be all light and non-smelly. I used it yesterday and now I reek of burnt biscuits and my legs look like I've applied gravy browning with a spatula DESPITE having worked it in thoroughly blah de blah. Poor you with orange acne legs though

Nbg · 13/06/2008 20:21

It doesnt smell too great does it.

I want scratch my legs with a brillo pad.

The fake tan journey continues........

St Tropez Eeveryday Airbrush never fails - have learnt this after hacing Johnsons, Neutrogena and Dove shite body moisturisers and tanners lurking at back of cupboard!

Go on invest in some and change your life!

Nbg · 13/06/2008 20:22

I want to scratch my legs, even.

BagelBird · 13/06/2008 20:22

stinks, stains, streaks despite exfoliate and moisturise.. I hate it too. Anyway, I thought I read somewhere that being plucked chicken-white was uber trendy now?

Nbg · 13/06/2008 20:23

Oh
San Tropez you say.

I always pick it up off the shelves and put it back thinking it can never work.

Do you use it all over or just on legs?

OP posts:
lulumama · 13/06/2008 20:23

wow ! i absolutely love it after many totally useless forays into these types of things.. the soltan one was useless, whereas with this one, after a week, 4 people have asked me if i have had a st tropez done!

sorry you are all itchy though

Sparkletastic · 13/06/2008 20:23

So Twinkie1 - is there nothing 'budget' that does the job? I feared as much but am too poor for luvverley products at the mo.... Milk bottle legs here I come

expatinscotland · 13/06/2008 20:23

Freecycle it

Nbg · 13/06/2008 20:24

Dont get me wrong,
I dont want to look like I've been dunked in a chocolate fountain,
just a light sheen would be suffice.

OP posts:
popsycal · 13/06/2008 20:24

try the loreal one
my legs are so pale and it looks ok
goes on well

Twinkie1 · 13/06/2008 20:25

You can use it even on your face, so deffo all over - I just spray each day after having a shower and have legs that are tanned enough to wear a skirt, it doesn't smell horrid and doesn't itch - think it is £17 in Boots (so you get your points!) - make sure you get the airbrush one is sooo much easier than all of those creams.

harpsichordcarrier · 13/06/2008 20:25

it gave me a terrible rash too

Nbg · 13/06/2008 20:26

I've also got Garnier "no streaks bronzer".

ha aha ha hah ha ha ha ha

no streaks!!!!

OP posts:
Twinkie1 · 13/06/2008 20:26

The L'Oreal one came up well on the 'How to look good naked' tests and that is a spray one - but I haven't tried it because DH works near a Boots and I cheekily ask him to pick me some up knowing I am never ever going to pay him back - but he gets to stroke my tanned legs so I feel that is payback enough!

Nbg · 13/06/2008 20:27

And what happens when you get a bit of water on your legs?

Bearing in mind I have a 6 month old who drools non stop and a toddler who likes to lick things

OP posts:
DarrellRivers · 13/06/2008 20:27

i went orange too
and itchy and smelly after 6hours when the perfume wore off
back to my old st tropez stuff, still in the cupboard, works a treat but sometimes a bit scarily tanned
was hoping for something lighter this year

2point4kids · 13/06/2008 20:28

i had the same reaction! dove was terrible too

I am using loreal now (the yellow one, smells like apricots) and its much muchbetter.
no slkin reaction and a nice subtle colour, plus smells nice

PinkTulips · 13/06/2008 20:29

i tan easily so really couldn't be arsed with self tan of any kind...... you've gotta wonder what all those chemicals impregnating your skin are doing to you and whether it's really better or worse than UV light.

Nbg · 13/06/2008 20:31

Oh pinky bugger off with your seriousnessnessness

Am sick of being drabby and need a pick me up

Chemical me up!

OP posts:
PinkTulips · 13/06/2008 20:34

just do what i did... lie on belly in the garden, allow sleepy toddler to climb on yur back and fall asleep, wait 2 hours and voila...... beautiful tan all over your back with a baby shaped white bit

tis sexy, honest it is
