Advice welcome please. Been putting off washing it in case it goes all flat and thin!
Thanks in advance for any tips.

I washed mine then tumble dried with tennis balls and it came out fine.

Agree, I wash mine with a specialist down wash and tumble dry on gentle with tennis balls. It’s fine, in fact it plumps up the down again.

Oh amazing, thanks both! I had not heard of this tennis ball method.

I’ve washed mine loads, did sane as previous posters.

Same!

FeyreandRhysand · 24/01/2026 15:15

Yep! It comes out flat but will puff back up in tumble drier. You’ve reminded me to wash mine!

scaredfriend · 24/01/2026 15:27

Yes - you absolutely must tumble dry it to poof up the down. Tennis balls are great but I’ve tumbled dried without and it’s been ok.

Trampoline · 24/01/2026 18:21

So interesting. I'd never have thought of putting it near the tumble dryer. Thanks all!

I’ve washed and dried and it puffed up in the tumble dryer even without tennis balls. The second time, I washed with a reproofer to try to maintain some of its water proofing.
