Tired face and saggy jaws

Intheseandsunny · 23/01/2026 10:06

I am 52.5. Looking for a treatment for my tired looking face and saggy jaws. I think my under eyes bags aren’t helping. Should I try baflaroplastia? Maybe a facial? I am as reading about this Ziip device. Has anyone used it?

Need something urgent thar makes my face looks refreshed. Can’t look at myself in the mirror or take photos. I don’t have that many wrinkles but the main problem is under eyes bags and saggy jaws.

I have the feeling I scared my boss when I appeared on camera with no makeup this week

Have you considered an LED face mask?

No, does it help? Will look into it. Thank you

My jaw has suddenly gone all saggy … I’m sure looking down on a phone or laptop hasn’t helped.

I’ve just had my first tixel resurfacing for round my eyes, so too early to say if it works, but an hopeful as otherwise my 53 year old skin is good but crepey and baggy under my eyes

Mine has made a huge difference to my skin in just two weeks (I've been taking pictures to make a comparison). It's clearer and healthier looking, my jawline/chin is a little firmer, and my worst lines (elevenses) are a bit less obvious. It's supposed to take 6-8 weeks for proper results so I'm hopeful it'll get even better! I have the CurrentBody one along with the neck/chest version.

I regularly use teabags on my eyes that have first been soaked in boiling water then in cold water (that’s important otherwise the tea leaves don’t soften enough). Leave them on ffor about 10 minutes at the beginning of each day. Significantly reduces eye bags and is v relaxing

Are you on HRT??

I also don't look down whilst reading / on my phone AND I sleep on my back for this reason too.

Eat well, full range of good food groups and plenty of outdoor time and exercise.

Collagen I-IV.

@CMOTDibblerwould love to hear more about this … what level did you go for and how was the downtime? Do you have to have repeat treatments? Thank you!

@Barbellaishere the lady who is doing mine (who was the UK trainer for Tixel for 8 years) doesn't offer different levels, but I know she uses different settings on different parts of the face as she was talking about it. Downtime - the first day I was pretty red, but then the day after my forehead was fine (I did forehead for some texture I have there and all round my eyes), round my eyes was swollen and red underneath. Day 4 today, and its only slightly red underneath, totally coverable with makeup. Really only the first 2 days you need to keep out of the sun and can't use makeup
You do 3 treatments 8 weeks apart

@Barbellaishere It is Sonia Norman in Cheltenham https://www.sonianorman.co.uk/. The medical/surgical dermatologist who treated me for something non cosmetic recommended her for IPL for my rosacea redness and a cherry angioma as he doesn't do aesthetics and I decided to do the tixel as well

@CMOTDibblerthanks so much! That’s not too far from me.

I’ve been having a ‘anti aging facial’ every 4 weeks, there’s basically an hour of facial massage and cold jade rolling and I’m certain it’s helping. I’ve been doing it for about 6 months now and my face / chin is looking better. Am 52

Iaeve · 26/01/2026 08:53

I use the Foreo Bear 2 and do face yoga. I’ve been using/doing both for years and at 55 my skin firmness is really good. If you are buying a microcurrent device I’d get the Bear 2, it’s much stronger than the Ziip.
