Too embarrassed to go for a spray tan

I've got a friend's weddng coming up and am tempted to get a fake tan through a spray done at my local beauticians.

They are very nice in there but as I'm still carrying a lot of baby weight ( we'll skim past the fact dd is now walking and talking!) I'm not sure how comfortable I'll be.

Is it worth the awkwardness for a good job?

Yes go for it, makes you feel a million times better. Don't worry they won't care what you look like as long as you remember to bring your purse along with you !

They do indeed HoneyMonster, one has to just close one's eyes and think of good old Blighty!

They see much worse, I promise you, and you will look fab.

Just remember to exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate...oh & lift your bum-cheeks otherwise you end up with a half moon!

the topless bit is of the bits I'm so scared about - mine are now such a funny shape from bf I'd have to keep flinging them about to get coverage! oh the shame

bikini is a thought though...

about the tanning shower think thats whats its called im thinking of using one of them as too feel a bit embaressed about my wobbley bits although i do have visions of Ross off friends using them where he gets sprayed twice and can see myself doing the same thing as i can be a bit clumsy at times

Blondilocks · 13/06/2008 20:27

When my friend went she didn't have to wear paper knickers - just small old knickers. Unfortunately she wore old bikini bottoms which were larger than her new bikini bottoms, so consider this if you can wear your own!

Where I go for waxing they are fab, really reassure you etc. They have seen it all before & probably a LOT worse!

TillyScoutsmum · 13/06/2008 20:31

you can get half body ones (not front or back ) but just ones where they do the bits that are on going to be on show with whatever you're wearing for the wedding - for example arms, decolletage, neck, face, lower legs etc

FWIW - I was quite mortified when I had a full body one (by a slim, lithe 18 year old) but I'm sure she'd seen worse and I did feel great after
