Greek wedding in very smart hotel - outfit?

I am attending a very fancy wedding, in a 5-star hotel in Greece in June.

I am not sure what to wear. Any suggestions? I am in my 50's size 10 and fit and toned. I am not sure if I want to wear a maxi dress or midi. What materials should I consider?

Everyone will be really dressed up and I will need a couple of outfits for a pre wedding dinner and then the wedding itself.

It’ll be hot but hopefully not obscene and indoor areas air conditioned. I’d personally go for something bias cut in silk and maybe a statement dress by a designer like Farm Rio or secondhand Dolce and Gabbana. They might not be your style though. Have a look at Reformation as well.
