Love my newly grey blended hair, but...

It's in pretty frazzled condition at the ends now. This is to be expected as it's quite a process.

I have got the Aveeno moisturising conditioner, some argan oil and a garnier hair mask.

Is it worth buying the Olapex bond repair stuff?

It will grow out within the year and I've reduced washing, using heat protector and drying it before bed.. just want to try make it look less frizzy and bushy without using straighteners too much.

Any other tips ? Thank you !

K18 mask is amazing! I had lots of short hair around my hairline that got fried with highlights, k18 softened it right up after just one use.

Before going grey, my hair was thrilled with just herbal essences. Ah, those were the days. When I went grey it was still fine for a while, but peri changed it entirely. It became like straw. My hair had always been something I was liked about my appearance so I threw money at it and tried a whole host of products across the price points to find what worked for me. I did like olaplex, but found it built up on me and hair turned to straw again. I liked Garnier hair food, Phillip Kingsley, so many products. But the product combo that works best for me is the shampoo and mask conditioner (in the tub) from Aveda Botanical range, with loreal hair serum/oil. My hair is still quite fluffy on hair washing day (I air dry and the end result would give Dolly Parton a run for her money), but the next day and for about 3 or 4 days it's really soft and manageable. I think you have to try lots of things to find what suits your own hair.

Try Ouai hair mask.

Second vote for K18. The leave-in hair mask and the oil. Expensive but lasts ages, I use 1 pump on my heavily highlighted, shoulder length, fine but lots of it hair. I’ve found it better than Olaplex.
