stretch marks - anything I can do to get rid of them?

They make my tummy look like someone who is ninety. They have made the skin all wrinkly. Is there anything I can do?

No. There is absolutely nothing that you can do for stretchmarks except wait - they fade a little over time.

belgo · 13/06/2008 10:04

They do fade. They become silvery in colour, and not as noticable.

It's the way they have made my skin look all wrinkly that is upsetting me the most. The skin has gone all crepe like where they are

Stefka - did you lose weight fast? It's better to lose weight more gradually I think.

belgo · 13/06/2008 10:05

Stefka - remember no one will notice your stretchmarks as much as you notice them!

mumchie · 13/06/2008 13:08

My skin was /is the same, it's been two years now and have really stared to notice a change recently - skin alot smoother looking - I think it just takes time.

Bio oil is supposed to be good, but never used it

JulesJules · 13/06/2008 13:19

I don't think anything really works, but those Body Shop body butters are really moisturising and feel and smell fab.

i used bio oil on my tummy, i didnt start using it until my dd was about 2.5 and my streach marks are virtualy gone. My sister used to work in a chemist and got some free samples, it might be worth asking if they have any so you can try it.
