Olay vitamin c body cream

I was going to try this cream, when I read on the bottle that it says, it goes 10 layers deep, I think I read somewhere creams can't penetrate the skin, so how do they get away with this sort of advertising 🤔

Most of the skincare is a gimmick. I had a hard time finalising my routine which actually works on my skin. It took time and money both and so far I got to a point where I these. I will share my routine if that helps:
Morning:
Using water to wash your face,
Sebamed clear face gel,
Garnier spf
Evening:
Micellar water
Cerave moisturizer,
Tretinoin (0.1) from skinorac
Sebamed clear facial gel
