What?

I love the shoes, but what goes with the colour?

Hyperlink didn't work, so long link:

Nah.

I think the list would be shorter if you asked what colour not to wear with them.
Probably not with black, otherwise knock yourself out.

Anything?

Nah.

OK, up to you.

I’ve had similar coloured trainers and worn pretty much anything with them.

But then I don’t actually care what anyone else thinks.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 09/01/2026 19:37

I wear teal with navy, khaki/olive, chocolate brown, burgundy, plum, aqua, white. Not all at once.

Also consider orange, hot pink, mustard, beige, black, cream (none of which i wear personally but go well).

It's a very versatile colour.

Oooo nice! Just ordered some with an extra 25% discount. I'm sure (hope) they'll go with most things. Thanks OP

HeNeedsRehab · 09/01/2026 21:52

I’ve got some adidas a similar colour and usually wear with dark jeans, either barrel or flared or I’ve got some cropped denim culottes I also wear them with in the summer.

I don’t think they are as limiting as you think though, I’d probably only avoid wearing them with an overly patterned, bright coloured dress

Mumwithbaggage · 09/01/2026 23:05

Love them and tempted to buy with no plan of what to wear with them. But I have an issue with socks. Socks just look rubbish with everything.

Oooh how did you manage that?!

Namechangerage · 10/01/2026 00:35

I think that you can wear these with dark blue jeans and a neutral colour top - nice pop of colour on the shoe. Things aren’t so matchy these days. Have you heard of the 60-30-10 color rule in styling?

This is a guideline for balanced outfits (from Google below):

  • use a dominant color for 60% (main clothing),
  • a secondary color for 30% (supporting pieces like blazers or skirts),
  • and a small accent color for 10% (accessories like shoes, bags, or jewelry) to create visual harmony and interest.

you could add a green belt to tie things together with a more neutral outfit. https://hydestyle.london/products/bottle-green-hair-on-hide-leather-womens-belt?variant=39264131743909&country=GB&currency=GBP&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21071021886&gbraid=0AAAAADt9iAFCEe3awFUyr3c5ltTalTb7B&gclid=CjwKCAiA64LLBhBhEiwA-Pxgu4ASstniwKt0zh9QBNhMrLNVVBKRz4Wx0qkYKfrW0XmmK6HNnDG-DRoCbtoQAvD_BwE

It’s the style and beauty board. If you don’t care, don’t join in.

OP you’re probably better off googling how to style green shoes and looking at the image results for inspiration.

Exactly what I did last week - except I bought 3 pairs in different colours. I had to at £24 each!

Thanks everyone for all the ideas to style them - never heard of that rule @Namechangerage so that really helps me feel more confident.

HotUKDeals is a great website to get this sort of information.

Although, had I not seen the discount code, I'd have saved money by not buying in the first place!

I joined in and answered politely and got a snarky response - so gave one back.

They’re just ordinary trainers. Will be fine with jeans, cords, combats, a denim midi skirt, summer dresses if not too colour clashing, cotton midi skirt in the summer. Just don’t wear them with too many other bright colours unless you want to look like a children’s TV presenter.

danglethedingle · 10/01/2026 12:05

Oh, I love those. I wish I could still wear Converse, but alas my gammy feet need a bit more support and padding. I have tried my podiatrist made insoles in my old Converse, but sadly it was not a match made in heaven, and even going up a size didn't help as much as I hoped.

Anyway, back to the question, I would wear them with darker rinse jeans, I also think they would go with my grey jeans and navy stove pipe trousers. All my jeans/trousers are no narrower than relaxed skinny, and no wider than classic straight. As a short dumpy older woman anything more extreme just doesn't work.

The only thing I own, that would normally go with trainers, that I wouldn't wear is my bright red coat, and my dark purple jeans (nicer than they sound - honestly)

minnowonthesay · 10/01/2026 12:13

I’d wear them with either this white or choc jumper with jeans

They would be fabulous with fuchsia.

Mary46 · 10/01/2026 16:08

They fab op I think dark blue denim nice with them. Nice for summer too.

Fauchon · 10/01/2026 17:22

Anyone any idea on how the sizes come up please. It says small so order a size up but reviews say come up a bit big. Not sure what size to order and when they say go up a size, do they mean a half size as that is the next size up in the listing? TIA

Ihearyouandyourewrong · 10/01/2026 17:57

I went a full size up and they feel a little loose, but good.

I have green trainers and I wear them with black, navy or denim. Dresses, shorts and trousers. I wouldn't wear them with any other bright colour.
