I had my Christmas nails taken off yesterday, they were BIAB and I went to a local Chinese shop that had some recommendations on a local FB group. I don't normally have nails done and so don't have a usual place.

She soaked my nails and then used an electric drill to remove the BIAB

Last night my nails were stinging... I looked and one of my them has a very red patch and is really sore if I touch it. I assume she's removed my a lot of my natural nail...

It's very low down on my nail so will take ages to grow out..

What can I do? It hurts and I want to make sure it doesnt get damaged further.

I know I was silly going to a place like this and won't be doing it again!

I've just had the same electric file experience three weeks before Christmas. Incredibly painful for about the first fortnight. Three of my nails have shattered, so dealing with plasters every day on them whilst they grow as they catch on everything. Only had gel nails four times in my life and usually have nails like rock. Never had a split, peeling, or chipped nail until now. It's awful and I bitterly rue the day. There's too much of a language barrier to go and complain and it wouldn't make my nails any better anyway. I can't open tins or cans at present and people help with anything I can't use a teaspoon for (ring pulls).
