Struggle with footwear with jeans

In summer I love ankle grazer jeans and sandals… whether it’s slim/boyfriend/barrel or wide leg shape I find it easy to pair up with shoes.

However in winter I really struggle with pairing jeans with the right style boots. Does anyone have any tips?!

Just wear trainers - can’t go wrong with Nike Air Max

Trainers

I like ankle grazers too, they're especially good in winter as you've got a bit more clearance for mud and puddles.

I see a lot of people wearing loafers, normal trainers etc with cute socks on show but try as I might I've had to accept I am just not a cute sock person! So I keep my ankles covered with either boots (Doc style but a bit more slimline) or high top sneakers.

The opposite of you so can’t help! Winter boot styles and shoe styles for different shape jeans and trousers is instinctive for me in winter, it’s summer I struggle with.

balance would be my word to think about. Wider leg will cope with chunky, slim and skinny needs in general a more delicate look.

I have exactly the same problem OP. Trainers look ridiculous. I have tried various converse/ Nike / adidas sports/ lifestyle, doc martens shoes and books and nothing looks right

I have pretty short legs and an along torso and wonder if this is an issue.

I’m exactly the same. Happy with ankle grazers and sandals for summer but no idea for winter and don’t like trainers.
